Today we had our most popular webinar to date with over 150 people attending We moved quickly and covered a lot of ground. Including the opening and closing we are a hair under one tip per minute. There are too many tips to cover in this post, but you can watch the video above, look at the slides from the presentation, and read the notes (lightly edited) I used for my slides below.
If you do a lot of writing at work you might consider moving beyond Microsoft Word for your writing projects. People just using Microsoft Word for their writing will find that the program is good at finding obvious spelling errors, and not much else. Here at LSNTAP we have put together a handy list of software that will be helpful for writing and editing.

Moovly Animation Program
https://youtu.be/C-w_9T006ag
My immediate reaction to Moovly is that the signup process was extremely easy the user interface very simple. I like that - online animation programs tend to be overwhelming and Moovly feels much more friendly and familiar. The editor itself reminds me a lot of Final Cut Pro (albeit a much, much less complicated one.)
Join your fellow Data Specialists and legal aid staff tasked with crunching data for our monthly office hours.
These office hours will occur monthly on the second Monday from 2 pm to 3 pm Eastern. Each month, a community member will share information on a topic of interest. Attendees will be able to ask questions, discuss relevant information, and receive feedback from the community.
Register to attend.
Sometimes, LSNTAP's role is to share other resources available to the community. For those interested in data, there is a young but thriving community growing through the Legal Aid Data Google Group started by Susan Vincent of the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles.

Have a Plan
Before you get started figure out what you are want to accomplish. Without doing this you have no way of measuring success and it’s harder to improve your presence. One goal might be to get at least one new client a month through social media, another might be to get 500 people to watch and educational video you created.

When should I start collecting data
You should start right away. It’s isn’t terribly difficult to set up something basic that is completely free, if you do that up front and you can track your popularity as it rises.
