Welcome to LSNTAP social media guide. By the end of this I hope to give you all the tools you need to set up and maintain your social media presence. This guide is made possible by by a grant from LSC.
4. Facebook
Facebook is wildly popular, with almost a billion daily users it is almost certain that a good percentage of your audience is already there. Here are a few Facebook specific tips to keep in mind when managing your accounts.
5. Twitter
Right now Twitter is one of the most used platform for social media by nonprofits. Legal services nonprofits in general are less active on twitter.
Use Pictures
People tend to follow lots of people and have to scroll through their tweets quickly, the easiest way to catch someone’s eye in a sea of text is with an image. Pictures are also great because they convey a lot of information without eating up your 140 characters.

In addition to the three previously mentioned platforms there are a few others that should be mentioned. While valuable you are probably not going to spend much time on these platforms, they are a bit more specialized.

Many of you might be looking for alternatives to host your web or video conferencing needs. This is an updated list of the the current web conferncing options avalible. I’ve included links to the free demo videos that most of these services include on their websites. Remember that most of them also offer a trial period, so if you’re really interested, try it out for free before you pay! Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands (LAS) is soliciting a request for proposal for the services and systems needed to migrate and host all accounting functions in a cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System that interfaces with our current Case Management system (Legal Server), our payroll system (Paylocity) and our donor management system (Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge). The ERP should facilitate the automation of current processes and have an open Application Programming Interface (API).
The Navajo Nation Judicial Branch (NNJB) uses JustWare to provide court services, peacemaking, and probation and parole services, to adjudicate cases, resolve disputes, rehabilitate individuals and families, restore harmony, educate the public, agencies, services and other governments in Diné bi beenahaz’ áanii, and protect persons and property pursuant to Navajo Nation laws, customs, traditions, and applicable federal laws.
The Alaska Court System is looking for an Administrative Attorney to serve as a technology attorney to provide legal expertise and project management to new initiatives and technology projects. The current projects assigned to this positions include our Online Dispute Resolution portal and Electronic Evidence Management System. Other projects will be assigned as technology opportunities are identified and as needs arise. The position requires residing in Alaska, preferably Anchorage.
