With limited staffing resources available, supervisors often are overseeing the case work of a high number of attorneys while managing their own caseloads. Supervisors are able to leverage case-related data and technology to ensure the attorneys they supervise are serving their clients in the most efficient and effective manner. This webinar will explore some of the strategies used by the legal services community that utilize technology to enhance supervision within their organizations.

Many of us have Google Analytics set up for our legal aid or legal content websites. And many of it are using it to see the basics -- visitors, page views, demographics and the like. But how do you start to get a more nuanced look at whether visitors are getting value from your site, what pages are working well, and-- the holy grail-- whether your site is "succeeding" at your goals?
Laura Quinn, a A2J research consultant currently full time at OhioLegalHelp.org, will be joined by Teri Ross from Illinois Legal Aid Online to talk about ways to tackle these issues.
Docassemble is a free, open-source expert system for guided interviews and document assembly. It provides a web site that conducts interviews with users. Based on the information gathered, the interviews can present users with documents in PDF, RTF, or DOCX format, which users can download or e-mail. Docassemble was created by a lawyer/computer programmer for purposes of automating the practice of law, but it is a general-purpose platform that can find applications in a variety of fields.

Over the past two decades, the LSC TIG program has seeded legal aid technology innovations in nearly every state in the country. The Department of Justice Office for Victims of Crime and State VOCA Administrators have been catalysts for technology initiatives to expand assistance for underserved victims of crime, often in partnership with legal aid and other community-based nonprofits. What is the relationship between these efforts within state justice communities, and how can programs build complementary digital strategies?
Working remotely and providing remote legal services have unique challenges. Some programs like Montana Legal Services have been tackling these issues for years, others are new to the challenges. This kick off webinar will have several perspectives from the community and practical tips for remote legal services.
