Sometimes, LSNTAP's role is to share other resources available to the community. For those interested in data, there is a young but thriving community growing through the Legal Aid Data Google Group started by Susan Vincent of the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles.
On September 14, 2021, Stacey Hawyer from The Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County and Ilenia Sanchez-Bryson from Legal Services of Greater Miami shared what executive directors and IT staff should know about security in a hybrid work environment.
Have you ever wondered what technology projects that legal aid organizations and others in our community are working on across the country? LSNTAP staff was curious also, so we will be featuring some of those projects this year.
Do you have a technology related project that you think deserves some attention? Fill out our form and your project may be the next one in the spotlight.
Introduction
Every day across the country and beyond, there are professionals working in the legal aid non-profit community whose roles cross over into the legal tech area. These roles include IT professionals, accidental techies, legal practitioners, legal aid management, and more. We want to introduce our members to people that are working in the trenches getting things done so that they feel that community spirit and know that they are not alone.
This session focuses on how to create tech training for staff. Guest speakers Ellen Samuel, Michael Hernandez, and Terry Lawson discuss how to decide what training is needed, how to meet the learning style needs of staff, where to find resources, and more.
Please note that although the material are focused on tech training, much of the material is applicable to creating any kind of training.
