Telephone Conference Call Options for Legal Aid

Telephone conferencing services vary in prices. NTAP and LSC have tried to negotiate good rates on behalf of the legal aid community. Here are your options. We recommend InterCall for toll free service based on its quality and price.

1. FreeConference.Com: www.freeconference.com -- It is FREE if everyone dials a TOLL number (everyone pays their own long distance cost). We've been frustrated by its quality at times, and you have to schedule it in advance to avoid hearing a Free Conference.Com commercial. But, it is free and works for us on more than one occasion.

2. InterCall Toll Free Service (5.9 a Minute) -- InterCall has won distinction with the 2007 North American Conferencing Company of the Year Award by Frost & Sullivan for high quality audio conferencing.  We're pleased to offer premier services to the legal aid community. No dropped calls and quality audio lines. All reservationless.  In additiona, a penny per minute is rebated back to NTAP for anyone that signs up. Learn more and Sign Up.

3. Brevient Audio (6 Cents a Minute) -- We're hesitant to even provide this information. We've received many complaints from programs of dropped calls and poor audio quality. That said, you make the choice.  In June 2004, LSC negotiated a discounted rate ($.06 per minute per caller) with Brevient Audio Conferencing that is available to all poverty law nonprofits (not just LSC funded programs). If you are interested, please call Katie Perry, Channel Director at Brevient Technologies, 1-866-486-4524 or email her at kperry@brevient.com to inquire.

3. Budget Conference Calling -- (5.5 Cents a Minute) See our story on this service for more information.  We've also received complaints on this service, fyi.
