Gabrielle Hammond


Gabrielle is the former director of the Legal Services National Technology Assistance Project (NTAP) and continues to work with NTAP on special projects as a contractor. Gabrielle Hammond

 

She is originally from Hawaii, and began her legal aid career in 1995 at the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii (LASH). At LASH, she worked on access to justice issues, created their statewide hotline and brief services unit, and implemented a full-scale volunteer program. She raised more than $2 million for projects at LASH and managed 22 attorneys and paralegals statewide. Prior to NTAP, Gabrielle acted as a management and hotline consultant for various legal aid programs across the country. She worked for a year as the Deputy Director of the National Immigration Law Center, focusing on programmatic and management systems to improve services to immigrants.  Her published works include topics on limited English proficiency, hotline implementation, and delivery system innovations.
