Technology Awards at Equal Justice Conference
The Equal Justice Conference recognized Ron Staudt (twice!) and NTAP (once) for their contributions to the poverty law technology community and the delivery of legal services. Congratulations Ron!
LSC Awards Ron Staudt Technology Award.
Ronald Staudt, a professor and associate vice president at the Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology, has been recognized by the Legal Services Corporation (LSC) for “outstanding contributions” to LSC’s six-year-old Technology Initiative Grants (TIG) program. The award is the first of its kind. In presenting the award, LSC President Helaine M. Barnett said, “From the start, our Technology Initiative Grants program has had no better friend, no stronger supporter, and no more generous contributor than Ron Staudt.”
NLADA Awards NTAP the "Innovations In Equal Justice Award". NLADA honored NTAP for its outstanding vision and leadership in improving the delivery of legal services to low-income people.
SJI Awards Howell Heflin Award to Ron Staudt, a developer of Access to Justice (A2J) Author, at the Equal Justice Conference. The Heflin Award, named after the father of SJI, Senator, and former judge, Howell Heflin of Alabama, recognizes the Institute-funded project that best embodies the spirit of SJI and that has a high likelihood of significantly improving the quality of justice in State courts nationwide.
