A wiki can help you collaboratively edit and share information in an online space. It is an easy-to-use website where you can track fluid, dynamic, or collaborative documents and projects. Its time as come for legal aid programs as a tool to improve our ability to collaborate without sifting through email drafts, as well as to help staff statewide track information that changes frequently. This training is a nuts and bolts session that will explore the use of a wiki in a poverty law setting, and will show you how to create one successfully using MediaWiki. Although it is intermediate, it is open to any staff that work on collaborative projects (i.e., housing manuals, hotline protocols, conference planning, grant writing) and who have at least read basic information about wikis in the LStech Resource Center. |
