Selecting and Implementing a Computerized Case Management System: A Guide for Managers (Colleen Cotter and Julia Gordon, 2004)

"Selecting and Implementing a Computerized Case Management System," was a TIG-funded report written by Colleen Carter and Julia Gordon and released to the legal aid community in 2004.  Although some of the the details of the case management systems they reviewed are outdated, the report continues to provide the a very good analysis of factors programs should consider when choosing a Case Management System.  NTAP has reproduced the body of the report in this "book" format to make it easily accessible to our users.  Readers can navigate the sections of the report via the outline below.

Please note that while we have preserved the footnotes of the document, many of them refer to appendices containing references to obsolete information about various case management systems.  We have not included the appendices here.  Users can access up to date information about case management systems currently being used by the legal aid community at cms.lsntap.org.

The original report, with appendices based on research done in 2003, may be found here.
